It's really Uncle Bob's story. Sandy Allen conveyed the writing of Uncle Bob to the world in the book A Kind of Mirraculas Paradise: A True Story About Schizophrenia.
Much of the book is Bob's own writing about schizophrenia, which entered his life in his teens and came back for visits in the decades afterward.
