"Blue zones" are healthy places in the world, where chronic disease is low and life expectancy is high. The Blue Zones Project enlists communities across the country in working to meet a series of health guidelines, in the hope of truly becoming a healthier community.

Klamath Falls recently became the first community in the Pacific Northwest to receive the Blue Zone designation.

Paul Stewart, the CEO at Sky Lakes Medical Center, visits with Merritt Driscoll, the Executive Director of Healthy KLamath, and Stewart Decker from Sky Lakes Wellness Center, to describe the measures of Blue Zone success, and what it takes to meet them.
