Salmon Nation Hosts 'Festival Of What Works'

In one of the most surprising relationships, salmon and other fish also benefit from regular fire on the land.

You could call the West Coast "salmon nation," for its connection to the famous fish. In fact, there IS an organization by that name, dedicated to growing sustainable economic systems in harmony with the biological ecosystems of the region.

Salmon Nation hosts an upcoming "Festival of What Works," giving people a chance to compare notes on making healthy salmon runs and healthy communities side-by-side. The festival is, of course, virtual, running November 15-22.

Ian Gill, a co-founder of Salmon Nation, joins us with a guest speaker from the conference.
