Oregon announced it could double its COVID-19 testing capacity, and the President called his bout with COVID "a gift from God." Those events happened within hours of our last weekly COVID Q-and-A session.

Clearly, there's always something new to talk about.

Dr. Jim Shames is the Medical Director at Jackson County Health and Human Services. He visits once a week to catch us up on COVID-19 issues and current concerns.

This week he's joined by Dr. Patrick Luedtke, Senior Public Health Officer for Lane County, which is seeing a spike in cases with college students back in Eugene.

Free testing mentioned in the segment, provided by Medical Teams International:

  • October 13, 2 PM-6 PM @ ScienceWorks in Ashland
  • October 14, 2 PM-6 PM @ Cornerstone Church in Medford
  • October 15, 2 PM-6 PM @ Parkway Church in Grants Pass
  • October 16, 9 AM-2 PM @ Parkway Church in Grants Pass

These are PCR tests with a roughly four-day wait for results.
