Rebuilding Community In An Isolationist World

Even before the pandemic forced so many of us to stay home, there were abundant signs of a disconnected, disaffected society.

We often don't know our neighbors, and sometimes--especially when the political yard signs go up--we don't want to. And the way we move around, close friends and family may be miles away.

We CAN have community, friends, and family around us, says Mia Birdsong, activist, facilitator, and storyteller. She explains what it takes in her book How We Show Up: Reclaiming Family, Friendship, and Community.

The author joins us to talk about interdependence; how we need to give a little to get a little.
