It's family time for the deer in our region. Many fawns are born in the month of June, and that makes for protective behavior from their mothers.
Does are known to be aggressive in the protection of their babies, and reports of deer approaching and even attacking pets and people are common this time of year.
Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife takes in those reports and gives out recommendations on how to deal with deer when they are acting very un-deer like.
Mathew Vargas, Wildlife Conflict Biologist in ODFW's Central Point office, is our guest.
