Communities Are Stronger Together: Plotting A Business Comeback

The pandemic and its duration has already changed us. The challenge now is to make that change a positive one.

That is the goal of Communities Are Stronger Together, a campaign formed in Ashland in the latter days of the stay-home orders. Our occasional explorations of efforts under the CAST banner focus on business success, and what it will take to produce it in a region that lost some of its economic mainstays, like the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

Cynthia Scherr knows many entrepreneursand CEOs and is the force behind our regular business segment, The Ground Floor. Jim Teece is the Executive Director of Project A, a web services company, and Sandra Slattery runs the Ashland Chamber of Commerce.

They join us to talk about working for a positive future in a time of negative economic growth.
