The doctors may have the knowledge to treat you, but you are the owner of the body being treated. All the more reason for paying close attention to plans for any medical treatment.

Dr. David Palma, a radiation oncologist, lays out the case for doing so when cancer is diagnosed. His book is Taking Charge of Cancer: What You Need to Know to Get the Best Treatment.

It presents many treatment options, and what patients can do to request more information and more options. We return to David Palma's interview from 2017.
