Granges Seen As Partners In Rural Health Care Improvement
OSU study focuses on longtime fellowship
46 million Americans live in a place where the health care outcomes just aren't as good. Those are rural areas, where a variety of factors generate differences in health care and outcomes from those of urban and surburban areas.
In the search for balancing factors, Oregon State University researchers noticed the network of Granges still scattered across the countryside. They could be natural partners in working with medical professionals to improve rural health care.
Reps from OSU and the Oregon State Grange visit to explain the findings, and where they could lead.
