At the moment, the world is highly appreciative of medical professionals. Those are the people who may stand between us and a deadly case of COVID-19.

Dr. Saul Weiner, an internist, pediatrician, and teacher, lays out the pathway to becoming a fully realized medical professional in his book On Becoming a Healer: The Journey from Patient Care to Caring about Your Patients.

It's a followup to an earlier book on the importance of physicians listening to patients; we welcome Saul Weiner back to the Exchange.
