Signals & Noise & New Building & VR

It seems appropriate that we have a robust discussion of the media in JPR's brand-new home.

Monday, July 9th, will be the first day in the long-awaited (49 years) history of JPR broadcasting from someplace OTHER than a basement.  And our friends from the Communications faculty at Southern Oregon University return for this month's edition of Signals & Noise.

Andrew Gay and Precious Yamaguchi will discuss items in a broad range of media, from virtual reality to books.  In fact, we plan to use a VR camera to record this first live segment in the new place.  Listen and watch as we discuss the present and future of media.

Geoffrey Riley is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism and marked his tenth anniversary as the full-time host of the Jefferson Exchange at the end of 2019. He's been a broadcaster in the Rogue Valley for 35 years, working in both television and radio.
John Baxter's history at JPR reaches back three decades.  John was the JPR program director who was the architect of "the split" when JPR grew from a single program stream to three separate streams. We coaxed him out of retirement and he's now a co-producer of the Jefferson Exchange.
