You can find arts events indoors in the month of July, but why?

So many musical festivals and other events are held outdoors in this warmest of months, you can be plenty entertained without ever having a roof over your head.

But we do recognize that some venues--like art galleries--are better in contained spaces.

ALL arts events are welcome to join in the regional party we call First Friday Arts on The Exchange.

Call 800-838-3760 to take part and talk up an arts event in your town.  Or just listen for the huge variety of events coming to stages and walls in the weeks ahead.

Geoffrey Riley is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism and has hosted the Jefferson Exchange on JPR since 2009. He's been a broadcaster in the Rogue Valley for more than 35 years, working in both television and radio.
John Baxter's history at JPR reaches back three decades.  John was the JPR program director who was the architect of "the split" when JPR grew from a single program stream to three separate streams. We coaxed him out of retirement and he's now a co-producer of the Jefferson Exchange.
