The Oregon Health Authority reported a new record of 1,509 confirmed and presumptive COVID-19 cases in Oregon for the second consecutive day on Saturday.
Officials reported seven additional deaths, bringing the toll to 819.
That brings the total of confirmed and presumptive cases in the state to 63,668.
OHA announced Fridayit would start counting the number of tests performed, rather than people tested.
Officials said that is because many people are tested multiple times if they work in health care settings or as essential employees.
