Forget-Me-Not is a two-woman show starring Julie Lake (Orange Is the New Black) and Annie Macleod, a beloved Ashland singer-songwriter. A Critics’ Award nod at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Forget-Me-Not is a deeply personal and uplifting true story told through original music and raw, honest storytelling. It follows two women navigating the intertwined challenges of motherhood and artistry, and the ways in which female friendship becomes both refuge and revolution. Through humor, harmony, and heartbreak, Julie and Annie share their real-life journey of rediscovering creativity, identity, and connection — reminding us all that even in life’s most chaotic seasons, we can still bloom together.
The Eureka Chamber Music Series continues to offer a phenomenal season of live music in November, presenting the multi Grammy Award-winning Pacifica Quartet playing concerts in both Eureka and Arcata. The Mainstage Concert on Saturday will feature string quartets by Béla Bartók and Beethoven, as well as "String Quartet in B minor, Op. 11" by American composer Samuel Barber, who later adapted the "Molto adagio" second movement for string orchestra, his famous "Adagio for Strings." For Sunday’s Concert and Conversation, Pacifica will perform one of the most popular works in the entire string quartet canon, Antonín Dvorák's "American" quartet.

Following the performances of Forget-Me-Not, Julie Lake and Annie Macleod invite you to join them for a Artist Mother Workshop — a nurturing, creative space inspired by the themes of Forget-Me-Not: motherhood, friendship, transformation, and creativity. Together, we’ll slow down and reconnect through guided meditation, reflective journaling, and authentic sharing, opening a pathway to the deeper wisdom that lives within us all. This is a time to listen, create, and grow together, to honor both the artist and the mother within. In a world that often asks women to do it all alone, this workshop offers something different — community, inspiration, and a reminder that mama artists need a tribe.
