Taste of OLLI: See Like a Geologist—the Landscapes Around Us

Taste of OLLI: See Like a Geologist—the Landscapes Around Us

As part of a free, public Summer Speakers Series titled A Taste of OLLI that is sponsored by Osher Lifelong Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Southern Oregon University, “See Like a Geologist—the Landscapes Around Us" will be presented by Karen Grove, who received her PhD from Stanford and was a geoscience professor at San Francisco State. In retirement she is focused on the geology of the Pacific Northwest and teaches OLLI courses on geology and climate change. Her talk will explain the reasons behind the diverse landscapes in the Rogue Valley—a low valley surrounded by high mountains. The program will be provided via Zoom on Tuesday, August 3, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Registration is required to obtain a Zoom link. Visit inside.sou.edu/olli to sign up.
