Sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Humboldt County, the annual State of the Community Luncheon is the League's only fundraiser. Civic Contribution Awards will be presented to two groups that help support an informed citizenry: The Elections Transparency Project and the California Retired Teachers Association, North Coast Div. Keynote speaker is Dr. Keith Flamer, President of College of the Redwoods. Humboldt County Board of Supervisors will update attendees on accomplishments and challenges facing the County.
