Livable Cities Climate Change Discussion Panel

Livable Cities Climate Change Discussion Panel
Explore the built environment and topics of livability with other Medford community members. On June 22, join us for a discussion panel focusing on climate change in the Rogue Valley, and explore how wildfires impact our community building efforts and how urban design can mitigate these challenges.
Josh Gross, Ashland-based author of the novel Summer of Smoke, will introduce his book and its inspiration and discuss how he sees climate change impacting life in the Rogue Valley.
Medford Planning Department Director Matt Brinkley will join the discussion to share the city's work on the Climate Change Adaptation and Resiliency Plan and how community members can be involved.
Deputy Fire Marshall Mark Shay will share what the City of Medford is doing to address wildfire risk and what mitigation strategies community members can take to help create fire-wise communities.
