A Rogue Valley women's writing group published a book with prose, poetry and photos about fire, entitled Fire Fear Hope. All proceeds from the sale of the book will go to United Way of Jackson County for the benefit of survivors of last year's terrible fires. This event will celebrate the publication with readings and the opportunity for community members to tell their stories of their fire experiences. The book will be available for $12 or $15 for the version with colored photos. United Way of Jackson County's Executive Director plans to attend to receive proceeds from sale of the book gathered so far. Renowned artist Betty LaDuke also plans to attend so we can thank her for generously allowing her art to be used for the book cover.
