The highly anticipated Benicia Oktoberfest & Marketplace takes place on September 20th. This annual event promises a day filled with authentic German food, fabulous live music, and exciting games & competitions, including a free Mega Kid Zone, making it a perfect outing for families and friends alike.

world’s oldest beer that has been around since 1040! Indulge in delicious German food from Lockeford Sausage and The German Guys. Benicia’s One House Bakery has created a one-day menu available only at Benicia’s Oktoberfest.

Join in the Masskrugstemmen (stein holding) competition, where participants will challenge themselves to raise and lift full beer steins for as long as possible. Bring your best traditional outfits for the Costume Contest, and enjoy performances by the fabulous Igor & Red Elvises, the AlpenBand California, and Alpentanzer Schuhplattler Bavarian Dancers—games for adults and a Mega Kid zone.
