A Taste of OLLI: There’s Magic in Math (and Vice Versa)

As part of a free, public Summer Speakers Series titled A Taste of OLLI that is sponsored by Osher Lifelong Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Southern Oregon University, “There’s Magic in Math (and Vice Versa)" will be presented by Irv Lubliner, an emeritus professor at Southern Oregon University specializing in math education, as well as a multi-dimensional OLLI instructor who teaches math, blues harmonica and literature courses. In this talk he will demonstrate the math behind a number of magic tricks, including some simple ones you can learn yourself to share with friends and family, young or old. The program will be provided via Zoom on Tuesday, August 10, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Registration is required to obtain a Zoom link. Visit inside.sou.edu/olli to sign up.
