All-women salsa band from Colombia to perform at SOU Music Hall, April 30

SOU is offering an educational workshop for students on April 30th followed by a community concert at the SOU Music Hall by Las Guaracheras, an all-women salsa band from Cali, Colombia featuring an Afro-Latin American voice. (Click link to hear the song Lo Que Soy).

The band was a featured performer at the Sisters Folk Festival on their debut tour across the United States. Doors open to the public at 6pm. Concert at 7pm at the SOU Music Recital Hall on campus, April 30.

Natalie Golay is the Senior Producer of the Jefferson Exchange. She has a B.A. in Visual Arts, a certificate of recommendation in multimedia from the Vancouver Film school, and a law degree from the University of British Columbia. A communications professional for over 20 years, Natalie is a natural storyteller with extensive audio and video production skills.
