Higher education may be a pathway to a better life, but life can certainly have its bumps while the learning is underway.
Several of the region's institutions of higher education report students going hungry and couch-surfing, unable to afford regular meals and housing. It happens with community college students as well, according to leaders at Rogue Community College, which maintains campuses in Medford, Grants Pass, and White City.
We get details on the situation and RCC's intended remedies, in an interview with college president Cathy Kemper-Pelle.
