Oregon's new Taxpayer Advocate gets into the swing of tax season
Even if you breeze through the federal forms in filing income tax returns, the state documents can trip you up.
The Oregon Legislature recognized the issue last year, and created the new office of Taxpayer Advocate in the Department of Revenue.
The advocate's role is to help taxpayers get through the process of filing and paying taxes. Think of it as a new customer service desk.
