Few people have ever traveled as far as Linda Schott did to take the presidency of Southern Oregon University. In the summer of 2016, she packed up her home in northern Maine to move to Ashland.
A lot happened over the five years she served as president. Now Schott is retiring, leaving the reins for Richard J. Bailey, Jr. They are almost trading places, with Schott retiring to Texas, just a state away from New Mexico, where Bailey is coming from.
We spend a bit of time with President Schott shortly before she relinquishes her title.
