The good old days: scientist explains what caused ice ages

Remember when scientists thought Earth was heading into a new ice age? It's been quite a while now, and subsequent developments have shown conclusively that we are heading in the opposite direction.

But we can dream, can't we? And we can talk about what caused ice ages, and will, with Brendan Reilly, a postdoctoral scholar in the Geosciences Research Division at the University of California-San Diego.
He delivers the next iteration of the geology lecture series at Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay (Monday, November 9th).

Dr. Reilly visits to talk about ice age mechanics.
