We still don't know where COVID-19 originally came from. But we do know one thing: mosquitoes are not involved in the transmission of the disease.

Which is a relief, because many other diseases are, to the extent that the little whiny bugs have changed the course of civilization.

That's the case Timothy C. Winegard makes in his book The Mosquito: A Human History of Our Deadliest Predator.
