Ashland Resident's Memoir Leads With Buttigieg Support

What's the old saying, "rob Peter to pay Paul?"

No such crime reported by Ashland resident Paul Mason Barnes; he never expected to get paid by the Pete Buttigieg campaign when Buttigieg ran for president in 2020.

That part of Barnes's life explains the title of his forthcoming memoir Paul for Pete. But there's much more to the story, including Barnes's years as a professional theatre director, his process of coming-out as gay, his partnership with a longtime veteran of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (James Edmondson), and more.

So many stories, so little time. Paul Barnes visits the JX studio.
