FEMA Report on Housing Progress

The region is simultaneously living through fire season 2021 while working to repair the damage from 2020.

The September fires laid waste to large chunks of land, but also many homes. The Federal Emergency Management Agency, FEMA, is just one of many agencies, government and not, working to get people back into housing they can afford.

FEMA has already set up manufactured homes--"FEMA trailers"--at several sites in fire zones.

More remains to be done, and we get an update from Paul Corah, based in the Oregon FEMA office.

Link: FEMA plans more face-to-face meetings for people who were denied or otherwise have concerns with FEMA. Next rounds is Friday (July 30) through Monday (August 2) at the Phoenix Civic Center.
