The Oregon legislature decided already that the Oregon Liquor Control Commission should regulate the consumer cannabis market. It has become such a big part of OLCC's job that the agency is changing its name to the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission.
And OLCC staff, along with Oregon Department of Agriculture inspectors, are checking hemp grows in Southern Oregon to make sure they are not actually producing plants that can get people high.
New legislation is part of the picture for OLCC's enforcement efforts. Executive Director Steve Marks visits to give an overview of a very complicated regulatory picture.
