It sounds like a fairly routine assignment for a high school student: write an eight-minute monologue about a major life experience, and get up and deliver that monologue.
Now add a dimension: have the high school students deliver their monologues alongside a group of senior citizens who had the same assignment.
The combination of two groups that do not frequently intersect is the point of "What I Know for Sure," coming this week (July 18th) to the Klamath Senior Center.
Longtime writing teacher Carol Imani developed the program; she and a participant or two chat with us about their experiences and the sharing of them.
