Exploring the former Northwestern Pacific Railroad in Humboldt County

Untitled drawing (3).jpg
Northwestern Pacific Railroad

Humboldt County's only major railroad ended service in 1998.

Historian Josh Buck has spent his life history (2006-present) hiking the out-of-service Northwestern Pacific Railroad to gain an understanding why it is no more.

Josh has walked most of the length of the NWP from Willits to Eureka and has a lot to share about the history of the railroad and its continued relevance today.

He shares those stories at the Clarke Historical Museum and on the Jefferson Exchange.
