The CIA School Of Parenting, Explained

 Spy Parents
Spy Parents

A career as a spy can get you ready for parenthood.

No, really... Christina Hillsberg was working as a CIA analyst when she met, fell in love with, and married a fellow spy. As she watched husband Ryan raise his three kids, she realized he was putting his agency training to use. Which she then adopted, both with the stepkids and later with her own two children.

These are the stories told in Hillsberg's book License to Parent: How My Career As a Spy Helped Me Raise Resourceful, Self-Sufficient Kids.

First up: NO, waterboarding is not involved! The author joins us to talk about what IS.
