A lot went wrong in the official response to last September's raging wildfires, while a few things went right.

Evacuations were successful enough to keep people from getting caught in the Almeda Drive Fire in Jackson County, the death toll was three. But nearly 2500 homes were destroyed.

Jackson County leaders recently accepted an after-action report on the Almeda and South Obenchain Fires, pointing to hits and misses in the emergency response. Danny Jordan, Jackson County Administrator, visits to talk about major points of the report, and how it will be used.
