The Federal Emergency Management Agency, FEMA, still has a lot of work to do in our region. Rebuilding the thousands of houses lost will take time, and there are still hundreds of families that need to get out of motels and into more long-range housing while they seek permanent homes.
FEMA did agree to meet with families who were refused FEMA assistance after the Almeda Drive fire, but increased COVID restrictions forced a postponement. Those were rescheduled, and meetings for Talent families are set for later this week (May 21-24).
