Most of the homes at the Royal Oaks Mobile Manor in Medford were destroyed by the Almeda Fire in September 2020.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency, FEMA, still has a lot of work to do in our region. Rebuilding the thousands of houses lost will take time, and there are still hundreds of families that need to get out of motels and into more long-range housing while they seek permanent homes.

FEMA did agree to meet with families who were refused FEMA assistance after the Almeda Drive fire, but increased COVID restrictions forced a postponement. Those were rescheduled, and meetings for Talent families are set for later this week (May 21-24).

Paul Corah from FEMA returns to provide an update on agency doings.
