Students Get To Work Turning School Buses Into Homes

Housing was already scarce in the Phoenix-Talent School District. Then the Almeda Drive fire burned down more than 2,400 homes.

All hands are on deck to set things right; Talent Maker City recently announced a project to put high school students to work fixing up school buses as dwellings.

The Skoolie Home Foundation, started a few years back by Ashland's now-mayor, Julie Akins, came up with a pair of buses. She joins us with Allison French from TMC to talk about the distance already traveled, and what lies ahead.
