Underground History: Archaeology Of The COVID-19 Pandemic

You didn't used to see surgical masks discarded in the street. But then came COVID-19, and people wearing masks, and now those are part of the litter landscape.

In this month's Underground History, our joint project with the Southern Oregon University Laboratory of Anthropology, we meet Bob Muckle at Capilano University in Vancouver, BC. His project in Covid Archaeology studies the structures, the art, and yes, the trash of the pandemic in and around Vancouver.
