Exchange Exemplar: King Kong's Buddy In Her Real Life

Public Domain via Wikimedia

King Kong is back on screens, slugging it out with Godzilla in another movie.

This seems like an appropriate time to remember the original obsession of King King, played by Fay Wray in the 1933 movie. She may have been the original "scream queen," even though she had a long career with many movie credits.

The story of the actor and her screenwriter husband is told by their daughter in Fay Wray and Robert Riskin: A Hollywood Memoir. Victoria Riskin shared her fond memories with us in 2019, and we share them again here.
