Anne Lamott speaking in San Francisco, 2013.

It's a bit hard to profile a writer as prolific as Anne Lamott. She's written so many books, fiction and non, for so many readers.

Lamott is a progressive activist, a Christian, and a generous giver of her time to radio interviewers. So we get to spend most of an hour with her, talking about her latest work, on staying positive--or at least in motion--in dark times. It's called Dusk, Night, Dawn: On Revival and Courage.

It's been almost exactly ten years since we welcomed Anne Lamott to the JX, and we do so again.
