Stories Of Southern Oregon Features Pears-To-Grapes Family

Harry & David--no last name needed--get credit for keeping Southern Oregon's economy moving during the Great Depression. Pears were their main crop and the Rogue Valley's claim to fame for decades.

Times change, and more and more orchards have been converted to growing wine grapes. In this month's edition of Stories of Southern Oregon, we visit with another prominent agricultural family, in the person of Laura Naumes.

The Naumeses have also gone from pears to grapes, with operations now including a wine label, a crush facility, and a tasting room.

SOSO curator Maureen Battistella joins the conversation with Laura Naumes.
