The world has known democracy, at least the term, for roughly 2500 years. The idea of people governing themselves is an attractive one, and it keeps its allure despite efforts to snuff it out over the centuries.
The Democracy Projectof Southern Oregon University, which normally involves travel to democratic countries, finds itself homebound by the pandemic. And that provides an opportunity to focus on democracy and its challenges in this country, with JPR getting the benefit of some of the programs.
