The images still hold power, years later: civil rights protestors walking arm in arm to protest segregation, white supremacy, and violence against people of color.

The need to remember those days and build upon them is why we celebrate the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. as a national holiday.

This year, though... no linking of arms. The normally large and active celebrations in the Rogue Valley are being replaced, thanks to the pandemic, by a video presentation and online panel discussion.

Focus of the events is MLK's book Why We Can't Wait. Organizer Vance Beach and panelists Mandy Yeahpau and Jessica Freedman visit with a preview.
