Exchange Exemplar: Live Long And Prosper, Human Style

Chris Darling/Wikimedia

Science has made great strides in lengthening human life, largely by figuring out the things we should avoid to stay healthy. How much longer can life be extended? Marc Freedman says we can life forever, in a sense.

He's not talking about the human body, but the influence of the human spirit. In his book How to Live Forever: The Enduring Power of Connecting the Generations, Freedman talks about older people sharing their wealth of experience with younger people, to the benefit of both.

The book is recently out in paperback, and we revisit our earlier interview with the author.
