Search And Rescue Leader Gives Winter Travel Advice

Travel may be greatly reduced this year, but people still travel in the winter for a variety of reasons. And so the State of Oregon is issuing its annual warnings about staying safe on the road.

Even people who live in places that never see snow can run into it on trips into the mountains. Weather, car breakdowns, and other issues can complicate winter travel and force search and rescue crews to scramble.

Scott Lucas is the State Search and Rescue Coordinator. He visits with some tips on how to take some precautions to ensure a safe trip.
