Douglas County was one of four counties in Oregon where voters got to decide if they are interested in re-jiggering state boundaries and joining Idaho.
Douglas County said no, and so did Wallowa County, but Jefferson and Union voted to explore the issue further. That's half a loaf for Mike McCarter, the creator of the idea of "Greater Idaho."
