It takes some time to process trauma. And thousands of residents of our region have experienced the trauma of losing their homes to fire this year. They add to the ranks of people affected by earlier fires.
The project known as "Your Carr Fire Story: Written and Heard" brought the resources of the Shasta Arts Council and California Humanities into an effort to document the 2018 Carr Fire in the Redding area. People who escaped the fire got to write and tell their own stories.
We get another weekly installment from some of the participants, including the take of a young boy.
