The last time we Googled the term "forest management," we got more than a Billion hits. It's an ongoing subject of controversy, one only intensified by the wildfires growing in size and destructive power every year.

It's not ALL controversy, though. For years some people have quietly worked in the background to find ways to provide timber for mills and restore forest ecosystems. Count Southern Oregon Forest Restoration Collaborative among the organizations taking this approach.

Terry Fairbanks of SOFRC is this month's guest in Stories of Southern Oregon, compiled by Maureen Flanagan Battistella. Terry and Maureen join us to talk about the forests and trees and win-win solutions.
