How Did The 'Pandemic Trails' System Do?

silviarita/Pixabay

It's a lot easier to keep a physical distance from another person when you're outdoors. But there are exceptions, like on narrow trails that wind through heavily wooded or rocky areas; not a lot of pull-off room there.

So many trail managers instituted pandemic protections, things like one-way traffic on trails. We visited with a group of trail managers at the beginning of the summer, and we bring the same group back for a check on how well things worked.

Oregon State Parks sends Cailin O'Brien Feeney; Jackson County Parks sends Program Manager Steve Lambert. And Torsten Heycke of the Ashland Woodlands and Trails Association also returns.
