It's a different world now that marijuana is legal in the region. Where once Humboldt County worked to squeeze out the illegal cannabis industry, now it's putting time and money into an industry-wide marketing campaign.

Another step was recently completed with the publication of the Humboldt County Marketing Assessment. The county and its partners are seeking public feedback for the report.

We get report highlights and next steps in a chat with Scott Adair, the county's economic development director. The conversation is joined by Dominic Corva of the Center for the Study of Cannabis and Social Policy, and Natalynne DeLapp of the Humboldt County Growers Alliance.

Questions about the assessment: contact the county at gohumco@co.humboldt.ca.us or call 707-445-7745.
