A stroll along the Greenway bike path in Ashland changed suddenly recently. An art project featuring T-shirts bearing the names of people of color killed in police or racist violence appeared on the fence separating the path from the railroad tracks.
The creators of the Say Their Names Memorial project stayed anonymous at first, wishing to focus attention on the names of the victims. But now they are coming forward, seeking more community participation and support.
We visit with Joanne Feinberg about the project, and where it goes from here.
