The scrubbing of racist tropes, statues, and names continues. The idea of renaming military bases named for Confederate officers who fought against the United States is still on the table.

And if Fort Bragg the base is up for a change, how about Fort Bragg the city? The California city is named, like the fort, for Braxton Bragg.

City council members decided this week against putting a renaming measure before voters this year, but will keep the topic open.

Council member Tess Albin-Smith visits to talk about the discussion and the feelings in Fort Bragg about it.
